I tried other deep fryers that worked well but the clean up was always an issue for me. I finally bought this because I was anxious to see how the oil filtration system would work. Well, it works and it's great. I can't imagine ever using another deep fryer again. Not only does it strain and filter the oil but I love the storage container. I find I'm able to reuse the oil a lot more which is a big money saver as well. I recommend this unit to anyone that's considering the purchase of a deep fryer.

I have been using this for a month. I read many of the reviews here prior to purchasing this so I could give it a fair chance and know what to expect.

First from room temp to 375 degrees takes apx 10 minutes to heat up, I find this fast. Too, when inserting product the recovery time is very good not more than 1/2 minute to recovering the set temp. I have not tested any frozen foods and probably never will.

The basket... It doesn't hold a lot of food, I can fit four large chicken legs,four large thighs... thats it. **Note** that the handle is removeable, this is necessary in order for the basket to be inserted into the depths of heated oil. To remove your cooked product you need to put the handle back on, its not difficult. This is not a commercial fryer but a home fryer. I LIke IT

Type of Oil, probalby many good ones, thats really another topic, I am using Canola.

The filter and storage... Works great. I read one review where they said it leaked. I haven't had that problem but because I read the review that mentioned this I just made sure everything was in its proper place. The filtering system is great. It left all of the debris, spices etc. on the edges of the basket and the fryer container itself but was very easy to clean up. Dishwasher ready but be smart and dont plug up your dishwasher filter either. I am impressed. **NOTE** use common sense, the storage container the oil is filtered into is plastic. Make sure the oil is cool first. If not you will probably have a mess you will forever regret.

Dont stick the heating elements into anything. I wiped them with a sponge and everything came off very easily as does all the parts. Just becareful, the temp probes are based on near the heating elements. No problem just becareful.

The power cord. This is a saftey thing. The cord only plugs into the fryer about 1/4 inch. THis is for saftey, weird but it works. You would think it would fall out but it doesn't. If the fryer is bumped, and earth quake, etc. its designed to pull free easily. Simply but works.

This is my first deep fryer and I love it. The capacity is fine for home cooking.

Smart Person whom ever it was that designed and patented this deep fryer. I threw away my other deep fryer even though it still works. ( uncleanable…I didn’t even have the heart to donate it.). I love how the T-Fal comes apart for cleaning and the self draining through the built in filter. This contributes to better tasting food and long cycles between buying new oil. Also it heats up quicker and the foods fry faster. Thanks much. Can you research and design a top notch pizza oven for home use?

I have the Emeril version of this fryer but all things are the same except the Emeril has a digital timer and temp gauge, etc. I have wanted one of these fryers for 3 years and finally got one last weekend. I only wanted the T-Fal because of the oil filtering and storage container. I never had anything to put my oil in and cleanup was a real hassle. My fryer heated up really fast and reheated quickly after frying a batch of food. My husband described the food I fried as "Restaurant Quality". I have cooked french fries, shrimp, and Egg Rolls. These fryers are more pricey than others but you get what you pay for. Plus, I know I am going to use mine more because it is VERY easy to clean.

We used the fryer for the first time yesterday. My only complaint about the fryer is the shallow basket. The rest is terrific! The clean-up was simple..turned the switch and in the morning the oil was in the storage bin and everthing else was easily disassembled and put in the dishwasher. The fryer heated up quickly and we had no problems with any splatter..thanks to the lid. This is most definately a keeper. It was well worth a couple extra $$$$$.

I agree with the other review - we are an elderly couple (and I mean elderly) we have been through a few deep fryers and this is THE BEST!! It might cost a few (or more) dollars then other ones but it is well worth it. We love it and it cleans up fast and easy and the storage of oil is the best thing!! So if you can afford it get the best. We did put all the parts in the dishwasher and they cleaned up beautifully.

After so much research I decide to buy this Fryer, a little expensive, compared to the other models. But and I can tell, that this is the best brand of Deep Fryer you can find. I had been using this product for several weeks and...(I love it). I like how it's easy to clean and its function of oil filtration is very handy. It pays itself, I recommend to any body looking for a fryer this good.!!!

Best deep fat fryer ever! I have owned many other fryers and this is far superior! Drains itself and everything goes in the dishwasher! Don't hesitate to spend more for this...it is worth it!

Did my homework before I bought and I'm pleased to say I made the right decision. This deep fryer is a great price for a great piece of kitchen equipment. The cleanup is so easy - very impressed by the filtering and oil storage system. I put everything in the dish washer except the electric unit and it comes out perfect everytime. We've cooked wings, chimichanga, battered shrimp, fries and more all perfectly. We use this product all the time. Get one !!
